The fourth quarter

• Net sales increased during the fourth quarter by 20 percent to SEK 1 051 M (875). Net sales increased by 22 percent in local currencies.

• Operating profit increased to SEK 192 M (125), which corresponds to an operating margin of 18.3 percent (14.3).

• Profit after tax amounted to SEK 134 M (90).

• Earnings per share amounted to SEK 1.93 (1.29).

January–December

• Net sales during the year amounted to SEK 3,578 M (2,933), corresponding to growth of 22 percent. Net sales increased by 33 percent in local currencies.

• Operating profit increased to SEK 633 M (415), which corresponds to an operating margin of 17.7 percent (14.1).

• Profit after tax amounted to SEK 456 M (300).

• Earnings per share amounted to SEK 6.56 (4.32).

The board proposes a dividend of SEK 5.50 of which SEK 3.25
is an extra dividend (SEK 4.50 of which SEK 3.00 was an extra dividend).

Verbatim has announced a family of LED lamps designed for domestic applications. Described as the consumer range, it comprises two E27 Classic A lamps, two MR16s with GU5.3 fittings and a PAR16 with a GU10 socket. With the exception of the 12V AC/DC MR16 versions, these new lamps operate from 220-240V AC. All offer warm white light with colour temperatures between 2500K to 2800K and operating lifetimes of 25,000 or 35,000 hours, depending on the model. E27 and MR16 3W versions are dimmable. A key feature of the E27 Classic A-Lamp with 6.5W is its CTA (Colour Temperature Adjustment) technology which mimics incandescent lights in producing a warmer tone when dimmed. This product is available now, the 9W version will be available in December. The MR16 with GU5.3 fittings 3W and a PAR16 with a GU10 socket 4W are also available now. The MR16 with 6W will be available in December.

Verbatim announces an OLED module that lighting designers, artists, engineers, and architects can use to quickly and easily implement the creative lighting schemes using the company’s VELVE OLED (organic light-emitting diode) panels. Each module comprises a colour-tunable, framed VELVE OLED panel with a light emitting area of 123mm x 123mm. A printed circuit board with the control electronics is mounted onto the back of each panel. The whole assembly measures 146.4mm wide x 133.3mm long x 8.7mm deep and weights 192 grams.
