International Technology Distributor ACTE changes its focus to Siemens
Mobile Wireless Modules

An important factor influencing the decision is Siemens Mobile's
comprehensive experience of the industry

ACTE, active in several European countries in addition to the Nordic
region, is going to shift its product focus within the area of wireless
modules to modules produced by Siemens Mobile. The adoption of the
Siemens technology will take place with immediate effect. ACTE, a member
of the Swedish Lagercrantz Group, expects the new cooperation to fuel
its growth on the M2M market. Siemens intends to cover the needs of the
market with a complete range of products and services together with
ACTE, which has a broad experience of selling and developing wireless
technologies.

As technology distributor and developer, ACTE will now supply its
customers with wireless modules manufactured by Siemens mobile, for
instance the MC45 Tri-Band module with GPRS class 10 and PBCCH. ACTE
will deliver Siemens modules to customers throughout the Nordic region,
UK and Ireland and also provide them with any customer support
necessary. Stein Thorvaldsen, president of the Electronics division
within Lagercrantz Group, explains the advantages of the cooperation as
follows: "Our customers trade their applications on international
markets. The modules produced by Siemens offer them a number of
benefits, such as the comprehensive tests the modules undergo before
product launch with regard to their suitability for use in all of the
international radio networks. This careful development and preparation
of the products for use in the international GSM/GPRS market result in
fewer firmware updates being necessary, and it also makes the logistics
easier." Thorvaldsen added that the reliability of their customer
service is also a Siemens strength, plus the fact that Siemens is
prepared to take complete responsibility for every component contained
in their modules.

Michael Wallón, Sales Director of the Nordics, is enthusiastic about the
venture: "In order to tap the M2M market segment effectively, Siemens
needs powerful partners in all regions of the world-in other words,
distributors who don't only supply its products to customers but who are
also able to support them regarding the design of their own products.
ACTE is an excellent partner for enhancing our sales activities in
Northern Europe, and has a great deal of experience with wireless
technologies, especially concerning their integration and development."
By joining forces, Wallón continued, the two partner companies...
